Win £2750 worth of gifts in Wallingford this Christmas!

Fifty-five of Wallingford’s shops and restaurants have teamed up to offer Oxfordshire’s shoppers the opportunity of an unforgettable Christmas. The town has launched the Wallingford Christmas Cracker, a special promotion where £2750 worth of fantastic gifts are up for grabs. It kicks off this Monday, 19th November, and culminates on Saturday 15th December with a special prize draw.
The town-wide promotion gives people a great chance to win up to £1500 worth of gifts and vouchers while they do their Christmas shopping, with a second prize of £800 and a third prize of £450. To enter the draw, shoppers must collect a ‘passport’ from any of the shops or restaurants displaying a special poster in their window. They then simply collect nine stamps in their passport from different zones as they walk around the town by spending just £5 in any of the outlets in a zone. Once complete, they hand the passport in and look forward to the draw! Shoppers have a full month to complete their passport.
“The whole town has come together to give shoppers a brilliant chance to make this Christmas one to remember”, says Elaine Hornsby from Wallingford Business Partnership, which has organised the promotion. “Each of the participating outlets has contributed £50 worth of gifts and vouchers to the prize fund, making a wonderful prize for three very lucky people. Entering couldn’t be easier, as people can do so while shopping for Christmas presents, grabbing a bite to eat at lunchtime, having an evening out or even doing their normal weekly shop over a number of weeks. It’s a real treat for the people of Oxfordshire.”
The Wallingford Christmas Cracker’s participating outlets range from the likes of Boots to independent gift, clothing and antique retailers to a number of restaurants and cafes. “There is a very wide range of places where people can get their stamps and from where the prizes have been contributed”, adds Mrs Hornsby. “From bracelets to books, grooming to gifts, hats to homeware and dresses to dog beds, Wallingford really does have something for everyone. It’s a town where shoppers can buy something different from what they’d find elsewhere, and there are some really unique and special gift items, especially in the large number of independent shops around the town.”
