i used to love this pub get it back to how it used to be good fun and food great band nights and if they need a good cook ill do it..

Just to let you all know, my wife (Keren) and I shall be taking over The Crown before the end of April. We are currently the tenants of The Cross Keys in Wallingford and we've been lucky enough to meet a few of you over the past 4 or 5 weeks.
We lived in Benson for 7 years before taking over The Keys and hopefully we know what the village wants from this pub - we are very open to suggestions though, so please feel free to put your ideas on this page.
We are hoping to have the kitchen back up and running before the end of May - classic british food, all homemade and locally sourced (where possible & good enough), with a choice of daily specials.......hopefully as good as Paul & Maureen used to produce, but I'll leave that up to you to decide!
Please bear with us for our first few weeks - we know there are a lot of things to sort out, but this will take a little bit of time.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to The Crown in a few weeks time.

Good luck to the new people coming in. You'll definitely need it the first couple of weeks, just to get rid of all the wasters! Looking forward to visiting this pub again after the clean up.
